Cancer Incidence and Mortality in Sangrur District, Punjab State, India: 2014

The cancer registry covers the seven health blocks of the district- Moonak, Longowal, Bhawanigarh, Amargarh, Kauhrian, Sherpur and Fatehgarh PanjGarian covering a population of 17,21,571. The registry covers urban areas as well as 585 villages of the district. More than 65% of the population of the district is Rural.

Cancer Incidence and Mortality in Mansa District, Punjab State, India: 2014

The cancer registry covers the three subdivisions Mansa, Budhlada and Sardulgarh covering a population of 798,852. The registry covers the urban and rural area of the district (242 villages of the three subdivisions). More than 75% of the population of the district is rural.

Cancer Incidence and Mortality in S.A.S. Nagar District, Punjab State, India: 2014

The cancer registry covers all three tehsils of the district – Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Derabassi, Kharar covering population of 9, 94,628. SAS Nagar district is a conglomeration of urban and rural area, approximately 55% of population resides in urban area and the remaining in rural area. The registry covers both urban and rural area (419 villages) of the district. The estimated population of 2014 is 11,19,087.

The cancer registry covers both urban (97.25%) and rural (2.75%) population of Chandigarh. It collects incidence and mortality data on cancer patients from government and private facilities present in and around Chandigarh. The estimated population for the year 2014 - 1.1 million.
